Abstract

t. The purpose of the study is to use the method of the theory of warehouse systems in order to optimize the work of the warehouse economy of seaports, through the rational distribution of intra-warehouse port cargo flows. It is established that the traditional method of calculating inventory and warehouse capacity is not accurate enough, since it only approximately takes into account random processes of inventory formation. The features of the technological scheme of transshipment at the port warehouse complex for the transformation of warehouse cargo flows, developed on the basis of this theory, are analyzed. The implementation of the optimal distribution of warehouse cargo flows by the method of determining the inventory of goods based on the application of probability theory and mathematical statistics is considered. It is determined that, taking into account changes in warehouse cargo flows by the intensity and nature of incoming and outgoing flows, the method of the theory of warehouse systems performs an in-depth analysis of fluctuations in cargo flows and associated stocks. It is concluded that the application of the methods of the theory of warehouse systems makes it possible to calculate cargo storage stocks with great accuracy for any random fluctuations in daily cargo flows of arrival and departure of goods and ensures rational inventory management at port warehouses in supply chains
