Abstract

Lean production technologies are gradually being introduced in all spheres of life, as well as in the field of education. Inadequate funding is one of the problems of educational institutions; therefore, the use of the concept of lean production by educational institutions is relevant, which will reduce losses in management. The development of the concept of lean production has been given the attention of many scientists. In this paper, the importance of lean production and the purpose of its implementation are disclosed, a method for introducing lean production into the education sector, the importance of knowledge of not only the principles of lean production, but also an understanding of the philosophy of this system and the need for its implementation are described. Also generalized are the types of losses in the management of educational institutions, which must be minimized in order to increase the efficiency of educational institutions, namely: losses due to overproduction, loss of time due to waiting, losses due to unnecessary transportation, losses due to unnecessary processing steps , losses due to excess stocks, losses due to the release of defective products, losses due to the unrealized creative potential of staff. The content of the listed losses in the learning process is disclosed. The principles of lean learning are given, which must be followed when organizing the educational process. One of the principles of lean production is the 5S method - the paper describes the effects and disadvantages of using this method. The 5S method is the most popular and simplest principle for implementing lean production. This method is aimed at organizing an effective workplace, and the name of the method is directly related to its steps. It is the application of the concept of lean production in the management of educational institutions that will increase the efficiency of educational institutions, thereby increasing the competitiveness of this institution, which will attract a larger number of future students.
