Abstract
Multivariate curve resolution (MCR) analysis has been utilized to extract spectra-like factors and concentration-related scores from Fourier transform infrared data sets. The infrared data sets are from the curing of a bismaleimide. The data and accompanying analysis are used to identify the curing temperature and the optimum experimental conditions for the curing. The MCR analysis provides a straightforward approach to assessing the data, unravels overlapping bands in the raw data, and assists in gaining insight to the chemistry of the curing of the bismaleimide of Cyanacure.
