Abstract

Fourteen-year-old male patient was admitted to the emerency due to falling from the height and blunt abdominal trauma n December 2010. The patient had abdominal tenderness and istension. Abdominal sonography showed free fluid in the abdomnal cavity. The patient also had decreased hemoglobulin level Hg = 11 mg/dL). Abdominal exploration was done and a traumaized spleen (stage V) was identified. Splenectomy was done and ue to patient’s young age auto-transplantation of the splenic issue (3 cm × 3 cm × 1 cm pieces) in the omentum was perormed. The patient was discharged from the hospital 3 days ost operation. One year post operation, the patient was referred o the nuclear medicine department for evaluation of splenic uto-transplantation function. 99mTc-denatured (heat damaged)
