Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of dynamic pain assessment in hip arthroplasty. Methods A total of 180 patients who underwent hip replacement for the first time from May 2015 to April 2017 were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 90 patients in each group. Before the surgery, patients in both groups received pain education from nurses and mastered the self-assessment method of NRS(Numberical Rating Scale). On this basis, the observation group received relevant knowledge and application methods of Function Pain Scale. After surgery, the control group was routinely assessed for rest pain, and the nurses adjusted the analgesic regimen according to the NRS score. The observation group was given a combined assessment of rest and dynamic pain, and the nurses adjusted the analgesic regimen according to NRS score and FBS scale score. Results There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in pain intensity 24 hours after surgery, Harris hip score, and pain management satisfaction(P<0.05). Conclusion Resting combined with dynamic pain score can effectively manage postoperative pain of patients undergoing hip replacement, improve rehabilitation effect and improve patient satisfaction.
