Abstract
A special perturbation method is employed to demonstrate how the non-singular stress fields associated with the Taylor-series expansions of a pair of Westergaard type stress functionsZ(z) andY(z) will influence the configuration of the isochromatic fringe loops in the vicinity of static crack tips.
