Abstract

As the leading global association serving supply chain professionals and organizations, understanding the impact of emerging trends on global supply chains is core to APICS' mission. It underlies our ability to ensure that supply chain organizations and professionals are well prepared to take advantage of future opportunities to differentiate themselves and maintain their relevancy in a rapidly changing world. In 2017, APICS established this grants program, then subsequently solicited proposals, selected four, and funded the four sets of research teams with a total of $192,950 per year for up to three years. This 2018 RFP is being circulated to solicit new proposals that will be funded starting in the summer of 2019 as an addition to the existing four grants that are all being renewed for their second year of funding in 2018–2019. APICS anticipates funding 2–4 new projects that will start in May/June 2019 for a total annual budget of up to $120,000 per year.APICS is soliciting grant proposals from qualified researchers from colleges and universities focused on discerning the impact that emerging trends, processes, techniques, and technologies will make on supply chains and value networks in the future.
