Abstract

A sample of male inmates from a medium security prison were scored on a checklist for symptoms of Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD). Psychopathy, measured by the PCL-R, was also scored by examin ing prison records. Although the ASPD and PCL-R scores were positively correlated, a four-part classification scheme is presented, with case examples from each of the four quadrants. Treatment implications are drawn for cases in each quadrant.
