Abstract

Something has changed. Ever since George Floyd’s murder there has been a seismic shift in America’s attitudes toward White Supremacy. More people from a wider range of backgrounds are speaking out against White Supremacy than at any time in the past half-century. Almost overnight, White Supremacy has become a dirty word. In a twinkling, Confederate statues have come down. Christopher Columbus has been outed as a scummy reprobate. Mississippians dumped the Confederate flag, and NASCAR banned the Southern Cross at its events. All of this is encouraging, but there is much more to accomplish. The struggle must endure until White Supremacy is naught but a vague, unpleasant memory.
