Abstract
Formulas for absolute bandwidth are derived directly from the array-factor equation for a uniform array. The formulas show that instantaneous bandwidth depends only on the array size and the scan angle and is independent of the operating frequency of the array. Simple formulas are developed for estimating bandwidths other than the 3-dB bandwidth, and for arrays with amplitude tapers.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
