Abstract

The proposed research attempts to collect and critically analyse dispersed research on innovative work behaviours to offer a more comprehensive understanding and to highlight overlooked areas and issues. A systematic review is employed to explore the different factors affecting employees' innovative work behaviours. The research critically analyses existing research on innovative work behaviours and identifies the commonly studied factors that drive innovative work behaviours. Antecedents of innovative work behaviours are classified into institutional and employee related factors. A conceptual framework is developed based on extant research and theories that explain relationships between the studied groups of factors and IWB. The research uncovers gaps in the literature relevant to innovative work behaviours and recommends further research.
