Abstract
We consider γ5 version of Abelian Higgs model in 1 + 1 dimensions and find one loop expression for the rate of fermion number non-conservation at high temperatures. We discuss the construction of the noncontractible loop in the configuration space and an analog of the sphaleron solution in the theory.
