Abstract

This article aims at analyzing the action plans prepared by public schools in the metropolitan area of Campinas, between years 2010 and 2011, as part of the development of a strategic planning methodology implemented by the School Development Plan (PDE-escola). It is a brief contextualization of the Brazilian educational scenario after 1990 that culminated with the proposition of a new management model. The proposed discussion examines some aspects of the established priorities of thirty action plans validated by the Ministry of Education whose objective was to improve the quality of education.
