Abstract
The anisotropic magnetoresistance Δϱ/ϱ 0 has a sharp peak near 50 at% Co, which is related to the ordered CsCl structure existing at that composition. We distinguish the effect of short and long-range order on Δϱ/ϱ 0 by quenching one sample from several temperatures T Q above and below the ordering temperature T o, and measuring Δϱ/ϱ 0( T Q) at 4.2 K.
