Abstract
An investigation was made of the angular distribution of anti-Stokes components of stimulated Raman scattering (STRS) from the ground and excited vibrational levels of the hydrogen molecule. It was established that as the divergence of the pump radiation increases, the angles of emission of the first and second anti-Stokes STRS components due to the 01 (1) transition increased up to twice the angle deduced from the normal phase-matching conditions. The angular spectrum of the anti-Stokes STRS component due to the 12 (1) transition was similar to the angular spectrum observed for STRS in liquids.
