Abstract

concludedthat blood loss of more than 250 mL dur-ing surgery was an independent risk factor of5-year mortality after colon cancer surgery.In the Cox proportional hazard model, theprimary outcome was all-cause mortality andtheexplanatoryvariableswereage,sex,bloodloss, stage of the disease, and postoperativecomplications (model 1) or blood transfusion(model 2).
