Abstract

This paper is one of a series to be reported in open literature concerning the analytical solution for heat conduction in anisotropic media. According to the mathematical difficulties and methods of solution, problems are divided into three classes. In this paper, only problems of the first class with anisotropy homogeneous in rectangular coordinates are solved through the use of Green's functions. The solution of a specific problem is shown and effects of material anisotropy to the temperature field and heat flow are discussed from both mathematical and physical points of view.
