Abstract
A linear axial dispersion model involving two parameters, Peclet number (Pe) and retardation coefficient (Rd) has been presented. Model equations have been solved analytically, using Laplace transform. Solution has been obtained in terms of complementary error function. Two limiting cases of perfect mixing and perfect displacement have also been discussed. Verification of model is carried out by using the experimental data of a washing cell.
