Abstract

Objective To explore the application effect of the full-term prospective matching care model on the prevention and nursing of mucositis for radiotherapy patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods A total of 114 cases of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma in our hospital from October 2015 to December 2015 were selected as the study objects and were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, 57 cases in each group. The control group received conventional radiotherapy treatments, while the experimental group accepted the full-term prospective matching care model based on the control group for the purpose of the prevention and nursing of mucositis. The relevant indicators of the two groups were compared after intervention. Results The occurance time of oral mucositis of the experimental group after intervention were significantly later than that of the control group, while the healing time was significantly earlier than that of the control group. The severity of the oral mucositis at the third and seventh weekend were significantly lower than that of the control group, and the score of nursing satisfaction was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation of the full-term prospective matching care model for radiotherapy patients with oral mucositis for the purpose of the prevention and nursing of mucositis can significantly delay the occurrence time of oral mucositis, reduce the severity of oral mucosal inflammation, promote healing inflammation and improve the nursing satisfaction degree.
