Abstract

Tourism is assessed as an important economic sector for regions or localities that have advantages in tourism resources. This study focuses on understanding the current situation of tourism development, specifically the travel service sector in the North Central and Central Coast regions based on secondary data for the period 2015-2020. The analysis results show that although some regions have many localities with strengths in tourism development, such as Da Nang, Khanh Hoa and Binh Thuan, their travel service contribution is still modest compared to the rest of the country, accounting for less than 10% in the period 2015-2020. The article analyzes the development of travel services in the North Central and Central Coast regions associated with exploiting the advantages of tourism resources such as sea, islands, geographical location and cultural factors. On that basis, some policy implications are given for the development of tourism and travel services in particular, based on promoting tourism destination linkages in the region and developing tourism products associated with the cultural elements of residents. local people.
