Abstract
The development of a child's mental abilities is of particular importance in life. Today it is much more important to be ready to acquire new knowledge, think, imagine, draw conclusions on your own, create ideas for drawings and designs. The development of the logical thinking of schoolchildren is an important task of teaching mathematics. The article describes the development of logical thinking in mathematics in Kazakhstan and the quality of textbooks, the number of tasks. A study is being conducted to determine the level of logical thinking in children aged 12 to 14 years. One of the main ways in the modern situation is to independently enrich educational materials, engage in additional activities, practice solving logical problems using information technology.
