Abstract

The power demand in India is increasing rapidly, and we need to use non-conventional energy sources like renewable solar energy to meet this demand. The efficiency of solar PV is determined by three primary parameters: VOC, i.e. open circuit voltage; ISC, i.e. short circuit current; and Pom, i.e. maximum power output. Each of these parameters is affected by temperature. An analysis of the benefits, disadvantages, and temperature effects on solar panels has been presented in this paper, along with the cooling experiment conducted by UNIMAP Perlis and methods for maintaining the temperature of solar panels.
