Abstract

Analysis of Records Disposition as an Effort to Rescue Valuable Archive in Faculty of Economics and Management Bogor Agricurtural Institute aims to determine the dispositon of archives for rescue the historical value archive in Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) Bogor Agricurtural Institute. Purposive sampling was used to obtain informants. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and literature study. The results of this study indicate, that the process of records disposition in the FEM Bogor Agricurtural Institute based on IPB Rector Regulation Number 14/IT3/PK/2012 concerning with Guidelines for records disposition, with stages (1) Transfer of Inactive Archives from the processing unit to Record Center, (2) Archive destruction that has no use value, (3) Based on the archive retention schedule (3) Submission of static archives to the Archives Unit Bogor Agricurtural Institute as Archives Institute at Bogor Agricurtural Institute. FEM Bogor Agricurtural Institute has not done the whole process, because the final stage in records disposition is static archive submission activities that have not been performed. The obstacles encountered are a lack of archive management and human resources who have adequate archival knowledge and skills. The rescued archives include primary value archives for the benefit of the archive creator such as financial archives, administrative files, office building project files and secondary value archives for public or outsider parties such as photo archives of historical events and others.
