Abstract

2020년 1월 국내에서 첫 확진자가 발생하면서 시작된 COVID-19 팬데믹은 현재까지 이어지며 사회의 다양한 분야에서 인식의 변화를 초래하고 있다. 본 연구는 뉴스데이터를 통해 COVID-19 발생 전·후 ‘문화소외’에 대한 사회적 인식의 변화를 파악하고자 하였다. 연구내용으로 본 연구에서는 COVID-19 발생 이전(2018년 1월∼2020년 12월)과 발생 이후(2020년 1월∼2021년 9월)로 나누어 데이터를 수집하였다. 뉴스데이터 규모는 COVID-19 발생 이전 75,134건, 발생 이후 52,167건으로 총 127,301건이었다. 수집된 자료는 오픈 소스 프로그래밍 언어인 R을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, ‘문화소외’를 중심으로 뉴스데이터의 상위 10개의 단어를 살펴보면, 발생 전보다 문화예술 관련 단어의 빈도가 감소하였다. 둘째, COVID-19 발생 이후 뉴스데이터에 나타난 ‘문화소외’와 키워드간의 연관규칙 분석을 진행한 결과, ‘문화소외’와 ‘문화’ 키워드간의 동시출현 빈도는 11,545건으로 가장 높았다. 셋째, 감성분석결과, COVID-19 발생 이후 ‘문화 소외’ 키워드를 중심으로 긍정어 단어의 종류는 92개, 부정적 단어의 종류는 126개로 뉴스데이터에서 부정적 단어가 더 많이 언급되었다.After the COVID-19 pandemic started in Korea with its first confirmed case in January 2020, it has continuously changed the perceptions across every field of society. Through news data, this study aims to identify the changes in social perceptions of ‘cultural alienation’ before and after the outbreak of the COVID-19. News data before the outbreak of the COVID-19 from January 2018 to December 2020 and after the outbreak of the COVID-19 from January 2020 to September 2021 was collected. The news data collected across the country amounts to 75,134 nationwide, before the pandemic; 52,167 nationwide, after the pandemic, a total of 127,301. The collected data was analyzed using R, an open-source programming language. First, the top 10 words that appeared in news data focusing on ‘cultural alienation’ show that the frequency of words related to culture and art has decreased after the pandemic. Second, by conducting association rule analysis on ‘cultural alienation’ and the keywords in news data after the pandemic, the result presented that the frequency of the words ‘cultural alienation’ and culture’ appearing at the same time was the highest with 11,545 cases. Third, on the sentiment analysis, the words focusing on ‘cultural alienation’ after the pandemic, the types of positive and negative words in news data were 92 and 126, respectively. It presented that the types of negative words appeared more frequently than the positive words.
