Abstract

Photos are a means to keep our beautiful memories. Although we have high-resolution cameras nowadays, blurs in images is a common phenomenon. Blurriness can be of various reasons, as they may be caused due to defocus or can be due to focusing on specific objects. So the types of blurs in images are analyzed. Blur analysis becomes vital when they are being enhanced. During image enhancement, enhancing highly sharp or highly blurred image region produce obnoxious results. Firstly, types of blurs, mainly motion blur and defocus blurs are analyzed. Then key points of images are detected. Matching of key points is done for a visual analysis as well as a match metric value is assessed to detect the deviation of interest points from the original image. Also, a blur percentage is calculated as well as a histogram metric is evaluated.
