Abstract

This paper reports the results of a theoretical first-order analysis of a constant-area ejector for incompressible, inviscid, conducting fluids which uses induced magnetohydrodynamic forces rather than viscous forces for mixing. Performance characteristics in dimensionless form are given in terms of dimensionless parameters which can be controlled by the experimenter. The range of validity of the inviscid model is established in dimensionless form and it is shown by example that experiments for which the analysis is valid are possible.
