Abstract

In recent years, with the increasingly frequent exchanges of film and television works around the world, the problem of Chinese-English intertranslation has become more and more prominent, and the influence of cross-cultural communication is expanding. This thesis focuses on the current situation of translation and the analysis of English-Chinese intertranslation in the cross-cultural context, and also lists the representative movie titles and line translations in Chinese and Western movies for comparison. In order to better reflect how intercultural communication affects English-Chinese intertranslation, this paper is studied through literature analysis, comparative analysis and case study method. This thesis finds that the study of intercultural communication is necessary because it has an important influence on English-Chinese intertranslation and can help translators to correct some problems in translation to a certain extent.
