Abstract
To implement soft switching in the asymmetric half-bridge (AHB) flyback converter, the steady-state operating waveforms of the converter are analyzed, and the operating conditions of zero voltage switching (ZVS) on the primary side and zero current switching (ZCS) on the secondary side for the converter are derived. This converter is capable to achieve wide-range input voltage and lower voltage stress. Based on the derived conditions, the optimal design procedure for an AHB fly-back converter with an output power of 75 W is presented, and a simulation model is established. The simulation results show that the designed converter works well in the state of ZVS on the primary side and ZCS on the secondary side.
