Abstract
Getting information is the right of all citizens. To provide information to the public the public body to form a information and documentation management officer. Kominfo Department is primary information and documentation management officer in Solok City Government is responsible for providing public information . In providing public information, Kominfo department carries out horizontal communication with other regional device organizations . The purpose of research analyzing communication processes carried out by Kominfo Department with other regional device organizations in providing public information . This research uses a qualitative method to find out how the communication is carried out by Kominfo Departmen in providing public information . The result of research showed communication in providing public information in the solok kominfo department is a series of activities in the preparation , delivery until receipt of messages about public information disclosure by regional device organizations . The message delivered is in the form of informative and persuasive messages Provision of public information is one of the tasks and authorities that must be carried out by Solok Kominfo Department to be able to give people the right to public information owned by public bodies . This organizational communication can be hampered due to several factors , including obstacles in the communication process, physical barriers, and receiver barriers. Substitution of employees who carry out the task of providing public information on regional device organizations also be an obstacle by Kominfo Department in conducting communication.
