Abstract
Calculation of machining time and cost of production is one of the factors that need to be analyzed in making a product. Determination of machining time is to know the type of work done on each component. Level speed tool wear is one of the factors that influence the machining time. Because if drill quickly wear out the drill will often be replaced so that the use of drill costs will be higher, and the cost of production of a certain condition is not cheap, but will be more expensive. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the drilling process to machining time and production costs with variation the load on the swing arm drill machine. From the analysis it can be stated that the load given to the swing arm greatly affect machining time and cost of production. At the drill 1 machining time of 217.67 minutes with a production cost of Rp. 283 900, -, the drill 2 machining time of 179.74 minutes with a production cost of Rp. 270 900, -,. While the drill 3 machining time amounted to 143.6 minutes with a production cost of Rp. 280 700, -.
