Abstract

AbstractThe production of hydrogen gas by the chemical reaction of Al and water in the presence of aqueous NaOH solution is a promising method. The low-cost production and distribution of hydrogen gas can promote the hydrogen economy. The combustion of hydrogen gas produces heat and water. The carbon-free emission of hydrogen combustion is significant from the environmental point of view. The present study incorporates an overview of the factors that enhances the reaction kinetics of hydrogen gas and its economic aspects.
