Abstract
A survey investigating nonacademic admission criteria was mailed to 39 doctoral programs accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs. Twenty‐five returned surveys reflected that letters of recommendation, goal statements, individual interviews, and work experiences were most frequently used.
