Abstract

Polycaprolactone materials with excellent bio-properties are of great interest to scientists and have broad potential applications in tissue engineering. In this paper, polycaprolactone was composited with barium titanate particles to prepare piezoelectric an intelligent material for tissue engineering. The polarization conditions and the mechanism were discussed. The piezoelectric property of the composites was improved by the barium titanate particles. The distribution and dispersion of the particles are the critical factor for the improvement of piezoelectric property. The composite with no cytotoxicity is beneficial cell adhesion and has potential applications in tissue engineering.
