Abstract
A highly integrated, multidisciplinary model enabling fast responding parametric studies and optimization of the complete air transport system involving engine, airframe and mission design is presented. The modeling approach shown allows a holistic evaluation and quantification of overall efficiency potentials due to advanced engine concepts, e.g. ultra high bypass ratio (UHBPR) turbofan engines. This contribution focuses on methodology and architecture of the implemented system model. Finally, the capabilities of an integrated system optimization are presented by means of selected use cases.
