Abstract

An initial value method is derived for a set of dual integral equations encountered in solving mixed boundary value problems in mathematical physics with a circular line of separation of boundary conditions. It is shown that the solution itself, not just a transform of the solution, of the dual integral equations satisfies a Fredholm integral equation. The initial value problem is derived from this Fredholm equation.
