Abstract

Abstract In order to solve the problems that the quantity of false targets is huge and the ability of target detection is poor in the conventional method of sub-band peak energy detection(SPED), an improved method of SPED is proposed. The method screens peaks based on the levels of background noise in every sub-band and then eliminates the noise peaks. These measures reduce the quantity of false targets and improve the ability for target detection. Simulation result and experimental data analysis prove its validity and superiority.
