Abstract
A group parent training program entitled “Parent Chat” was evaluated in a multiple baseline design with 11 parents of children with articulation impairments. Parents attended consecutive 5-week training programs aimed at applying behaviour modification principles to articulation therapy. Video modelling and discussion was used as the main teaching method. The children's articulation improved significantly as a result of the parents attending the program. The amount and accuracy of the feedback given by the parents improved significantly. However, specific techniques such as labelled praise and behaviour shaping did not change.
