Abstract

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) value relates to the extent to which its investment have created value for an organization. The issues of ERP value are how to define and to measure ERP value. Therefore, the objectives of this research are not only to develop a model for ERP value but also to define and to measure ERP value in the post-implementation stage. Using the Resource-Based View (RBV) approach, ERP resources, organizational capabilities and organizational core competencies of ERP system have been identified as three key capabilities for ERP value creation based on the literature review. The results of this research are the measurement of ERP value from three organizations in Indonesia and the indication that ERP resources, organizational capabilities and organizational core competencies of ERP system have an effect on ERP value. This research could be a trigger for organizations to get ERP value.
