Abstract
A new type of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) structures composed of meanderline and U-shaped resonators were theoretically and experimentally proposed in the terahertz regime, which could exhibit strong EIT phenomenon. The meanderline structure provides an effective manner for realizing electric controlled EIT devices due to its continuous connection feature which is convenient to serve as integrated electrode, which is verified by simulations where vanadium dioxide (VO2) structures are further integrated. An EIT modulation behavior is observed and the group delay at the transmission window frequency are changed accordingly.
