Abstract
The equations describing the transient flow of a compressible fluid in a duct have been solved numerically by an extension of the method described previously for solution of a counter-current heat exchanger. The solution agrees well with a graphical solution obtained from the literature. The numerical method presented is applicable to the solution of other problems described by non-linear, hyperbolic equations.
