Abstract

A simple way of calculating the analytical expression of the radiated field produced by a transient of current travelling along a straight wire is presented. The method used is based on the reflection theory. The computed values of the radiated field at different angles from broadside are plotted. A comparison is made between the results obtained using the reflection theory presented here and those obtained from a numerical solution of a space-time integral equation.
