Abstract
An adaptive-step time integration method is presented for solving 3D magnetic field and eddy current problems. It is based on an implicit Runge-Kutta method that is a well-known approach for the problems of differential-algebraic equations. The method has been applied to both linear and nonlinear cases and its advantages over the conventional B-method with fixed step are demonstrated.
