Abstract

Abstract Well-defined six-armed amphiphilic star polymers (TP-C0-PMAPEG)s and (TP-C5-PMAPEG)s bearing a triphenylene core were designed as dispersants of carbon nanotubes, and synthesized via controlled radical polymerization. It was found that these star polymers were capable of forming stable dispersions of single-walled and multiwalled carbon nanotubes in polar media such as MeOH and water.
