Abstract

ABSTRACT We introduce ambiguous states into an experimental investigation of a tradeoff between contractual rigidity and flexibility. Ambiguity magnifies both parties’ pessimism in an incomplete context. Ambiguity aversion is revealed in their choice. More complex interactions emerge in ambiguous environments.
