Abstract

Linguio-Cognitive Characteristics of Compound Words with the Component “Globalization” in the Lexical Layer of the German Language Summary In this article, the author investigates the impact of the globalization process on the German language, paying special attention to the reflection of globalization in the lexical system of the German language. The author notes that the process of globalization affects all the aspects of human activity, not just individual ones. The author also takes into consideration the pragmatic and word-forming features of thematic groups. In the article the author emphasizes globalization as the internationalization of all areas of social life, as a new stage of the formation of the whole world based on the latest achivements of the information technology revolution.
