Abstract

Cat's allergen immunotherapy (AIT) is the subject of some skepticism, even from allergists. This situation is all the more paradoxical as sensitization to animal dander, in particular to cat, ranks third in sensitization to aero-allergens in patients presenting with respiratory allergic manifestations and that AIT to cats is clearly mentioned in the international and national recommendations regarding this therapy. The purpose of this presentation is to review the existing data on the efficacy of cat's AIT in the field of respiratory allergy, and also to discuss the prospects for evolution in the etiological approach to this frequent allergy.
