Abstract
.In the article the author analyzes the creative work of A.N. Volynsky, - a well-known philosopher, literary critic and religious scholar of the Silver Age, - and emphasizes his commitment to traditional values b the times of mass infatuation for the ideas of social order transformation and religious renewal. Fighting the tireless war with rough materialism and sociologism in literature, with nihilism and decadence and urging to return to religious research and eternal problems, Volynsky became the architect of Russian religious and philosophic renascence in the 20th century.
