Abstract

Aircarft handling characteristics depend to a laege extent on control force and displacement characteristics. It is common practice to determine these characteristics from time consuming and cumberstone measurements in stationary rectilinear or curvilinear flight conditiins. The results are crucial in aircraft airworthiness certification and flight simulation the present work describes a new technique for the assesment of control force and displacement characteristics. The new technique is based on accurate measurements of amongst others control forces and displacements in short dynamic flight test maneuvers. These measurements are used to next to identify the detailed dynamical models of the flight control of a cessna citsation 500 business jet aircrafts
