Abstract

Hot dip galvanizing operations are an easily recognizable source of local nuisance because of their dense fume discharge. The generation and nature of the fumes and the application of wet collectors, cloth filters and electric precipitators to their control are discussed. The collection efficiencies of the various devices are included along with stack analysis test data obtained from both full scale and pilot installations. 12 figures, 2 tables.
