Abstract

This study addresses the risks of the unreflective advance of AI in communication work environments and proposes a debate on its critical and creative use. It seeks a panoramic view based on media ecology and the multidisciplinarity of organizational communication, focused on the characteristics of a technology that announces itself as ubiquitous, to reflect on how AI will be able to help communication production processes. Are we prepared to “educate” these devices for a democratic, inclusive, and safe environment?
